Join me at the UCET Podcast

In March 2017 I attended, at the behest of my podcast co-host Quin Henderson, Utah Coalition for Educational Technology Conference. The two day event was different from any local conference that I had previously attended and I was so grateful to be a part of the conversation and sessions. I recorded some great episodes with Quin that day and you can find those at the Edtrex Rewind Podcast. The conference got me thinking about the local perspective for educational technology and made me want to pull my weight locally.

Three years later while sitting in a hotel with colleagues from my district after SXSWEDU was shuttered due to 2020, I received news that I was voted onto UCET board. I was so excited and still am excited about my position. I get to work with some of the most incredible people in educational technology in Utah. I get to help teachers have the same experiences that I had a few short years ago. I get to learn from some of the best. That sounds like I am gushing or flattering, but I really respect the people on the board and how they have impacted me as teacher in this community.

So I was naturally excited to learn that they wanted to launch a podcast, and they wanted me to organize and host it. I jumped right at it. Now after a few months, three episodes are out and I am excited to share them out with you. The podcast is a panel podcast with a revolving cast of teachers, administrators, and support faculty that want to share their unique perspectives on education, technology, and how to be change agents.
